The Catwalk Extravaganza at the 15th edition of the WIFW gets bigger and better
Date: 17-03-2010

Fashion Design Council of Indian (FDCI), India's largest business of fashion forum, announced today a strong and packed show schedule with 75 designers who will be showcasing their collections on the runway.  The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Autumn/Winter 2010 event, now in its 15th edition, the biggest ever with a solid line-up of designers, will once again promise to provide an everlasting  experience to the fashion conscious audience.

In keeping in line with their ethos, WIFW AW 2010 continues to encourage and promote well-known and emerging designers who have added a face to the Indian Fashion Industry. WIFW will boast participation of 19 designers who would be showcasing their collections for the first time. Eight of these designers will be showcasing their collections on the runway, while eleven designers will display their creations at the exhibition stall.

Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, "Across Asia, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is been recognized as the Asian Fashion Hub catering to the premier fashion trade event with the largest number of designer and buyer participation. With each edition, WIFW is getting bigger; this season a total number of 43 shows will be organized by FDCI at NSIC exhibition complex. Such a strong line-up of designers only indicates WIFW's growing popularity amongst its fashion stakeholders.

He added, "We wish all our designers' great commercial success and hope that they accomplish what their have set out to do, that is to influence the fashion industry with their mark."

Atul Chand, Divisional Chief Executive, ITC's Lifestyle Retailing, said, "Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is the most prestigious and the biggest fashion event of the country. We are extremely pleased with the strong response from the designer fraternity for the forthcoming edition of the event. The coming together of India's leading designers at this unique platform is a reflection of the event's stature and grandeur. We look forward to another hugely successful edition of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week."
